The Universe aligns to screw me.

A series of unfortunate events culminating in a giant "Screw You" from the heavens.
My purse got stolen.
But it's not that black and white.
My car got broken into while sitting in my driveway. My purse was in it, and it was taken.

Why was my purse in the car?
Good question. I'm not in the habit of leaving my purse in the car. I was late getting home from work that day and I had to get to Tae Kwon Do. The reason for being late was that I left work and went to the grocery store. Did my shopping, stood in line, cashier rang me through, I opened my purse AND...no wallet.
Ditched my stuff, drove back to work, got my wallet, went to a different grocery store and did it all over again.
Quincey calls me and we get in a big conversation about some important goings-on at work. When I pull up in the driveway I'm still on the phone, trying to grab all the groceries and rush inside to change for Tae Kwon Do. I guess I didn't grab my purse, but I'm planning on being back in the car within 15 mintues anyway.
Still on the phone with Quincey, I'm trying to get changed. Emily shows up and says we're late. I grab my keys and we head outside. Emily suggests we take her car since it's warm. I had already hit the unlock button as we were walking up, I guess.

Why didn't I put the car in the garage?
As luck would have it, the van didn't start that day and was blocking entrance to the garage.

So on the ONE NIGHT that the planets aligned - car not in the garage, purse in the car, car not locked - someone just happens to be strolling through my suburban neighbourhood breaking into cars??

I lost money, my ID, bank cards, credit cards, receipts I was submitting to work for reimbursement, Max's puffer, makeup, who knows what else. Not to mention that it was a Coach purse and wallet :-(
And oh ya..Quincey's wedding ring.

Why was Quincey's wedding ring in my purse??
He plays with it while he's on the phone a lot. I was in his office and saw it sitting on his desk amongst other rubbish. I took it so it wouldn't get lost. Where did I put it?? IN MY PURSE.

Ugh, that does suck a lot. Hectic days can be very rough when one is careless. Losing your purse, as well as several items, is frustrating. But don't let that ruin your year. Cheer up!
