I did a teddy bear's picnic theme for Quinn's birthday on Saturday.
I know it's kind of ordinary, but her favourite toy is her teddy bear so I went with that.
I had a picnic set up in the living room (wasn't sure if it was going to rain) on a red checkered plastic table cloth with red and white balloons around, and a tiny picnic basket for each child filled with their dinner: berry juice box, gummy bears, bear paw cookie, apple slices and a hot dog. Beside each basket was a bear (or stuffy) which was their gift instead of a goody bag.
And of course there was the bear cake:
Our babysitter Rachel's wonderful mother made it for Quinn. Not only did it look fantastic, it was delicious too.
I didn't plan any activities because I get too stressed out trying to force the kids to a schedule so I rented a bouncy castle and just let the kids run wild. It was PERFECT.
When it was time to go home, the kids put their bears in their now empty picnic baskets and I gave everyone this 4x6 that I designed and then had printed at Walmart for 20 cents each.
Oh, I almost forgot..
all those pictures I've been taking on the 22nd of every month I had printed and on display.
